Snell & Wilmer Attorney Marsha Cotton Joins Board of Directors for the William E. Morris Institute for Justice

PHOENIX – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Phoenix-based attorney Marsha Cotton has joined the Board of Directors for the William E. Morris Institute for Justice. 

The William E. Morris Institute for Justice (MIJ) is a nonprofit program committed to helping protect the rights of low-income Arizonans. MIJ advocates on systemic issues affecting a large number of individuals across several practice areas, including access to courts, domestic violence, food security, healthcare, housing, discrimination, and public benefits. 

An active member within the community, Cotton also volunteers as a mentor through the U.S. Young African Leadership Initiative Mandela Washington Fellowship. The Fellowship’s purpose is to help develop and provide leadership opportunities to young leaders from Sub-Saharan Africa.  Marsha has mentored attorneys, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and government officials from countries such as The Gambia, South Africa, Cote d’Ivoire, and Uganda. 

Within her legal practice, Cotton maintains a multifaceted commercial litigation practice that includes advising clients on all aspects of risk assessment and dispute resolution. She assists clients with complex commercial litigation and appellate issues within Arizona state and federal court. Cotton represents businesses in a variety of industries including manufacturing and wholesale distribution, financial services, travel and resort, real estate, nonprofit, automotive, healthcare, and others. She also regularly represents companies doing business with many of the sovereign tribes in Arizona and companies engaged in cross-border business disputes.
