Snell & Wilmer Represents Smooth-Bor Plastics in Acquisition by Plastiflex Group

ORANGE COUNTY – Snell & Wilmer advised Smooth-Bor Plastics, a manufacturer of tubes and tubing systems with factories in Laguna Hills, California and Johor Bahru, Malaysia, in its sale to Plastiflex Group, one of the world’s leading suppliers of components and customized tubing systems for customers in the medical and industrial technology sectors. The merger of Smooth-Bor Plastics and Plastiflex Group creates a combined entity that will further extend its product portfolio, particularly in the sleep and ventilation markets, and will be able to offer additional production capacity in the USA and Southeast Asia, in line with the group’s operational strategy of regional self-sufficiency.

Smooth-Bor Plastics will continue to be headquartered in Laguna Hills, CA, which will be a hub for the development of tubing systems and extrusion lines for the combined entity. The Group now has 12 manufacturing facilities across the world with 7 dedicated health care facilities in North America (U.S. and Mexico), EMEA (Germany and Turkey) and Asia (China and Malaysia).
