SNELLGBTQ+
Mission Statement
SNELLGBTQ+ helps facilitate interaction between Snell & Wilmer’s LGBTQ+ personnel and their allied colleagues through professional development opportunities and by providing supportive spaces to discuss issues of concern that impact the LGBTQ+ community within and outside the firm.
SNELLGBTQ+ aims to collaborate with community and LGBTQ+ organizations.
Goals & Objectives
Provide
subject-matter knowledge and experience to our colleagues and clients about issues related to LGBTQ+ identity.
Promote
the firm’s hiring and retention of LGBTQ+ identifying talent.
Help
the firm remain a leader with respect to employer benefits and practices, including receiving a 100 percent rating on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index.
Identify
pro bono opportunities related to LGBTQ+ issues and charities targeted toward LGBTQ+ persons.
First-Gen Forward
Mission Statement
Our program provides first-generation professionals, some of whom may include attorneys who are the first in their families to obtain a college or law school degree, with additional mentorship, resources, and programming to allow them to achieve professional growth and success at the firm.
Goals & Objectives
Advocate
for recruitment and retention of first-generation professionals.
Provide
resources to first-generation professionals to increase professional skills and knowledge.
Engage
with community organizations to educate future first-generation professionals.
Lawyers of Color
Mission Statement
The Lawyers of Color (LOC) affinity group enhances the firm’s commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment based on open communication and mutual respect, enhancing business and professional development, and encouraging initiative, innovation, teamwork, and loyalty for all attorneys.
LOC helps sustain the firm’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through transparent communication, and opportunities to share insights with firm leadership.
Goals & Objectives
Provide
opportunities for lawyers of color to reflect and discuss current issues affecting diverse communities.
Support
and promote networking, mentorship, professional development, and the retention of lawyers of color.
Engage
through “Community & Connections” dialogue that help foster and empower members with guidance and mentorship, while also cultivating a supportive community.
