EVENT ALERT – Las Vegas, NV – Understanding the Nevada First Act and What it Means to the Construction Industry

September 22, 2011

The Nevada First Act (AB144) was designed to increase the number of Nevada residents employed on public works projects by adding more requirements to obtain a bidder’s preference for such works under Nevada’s public contracting law. With its passage, along with revisions under AB574, the impact on the public works contracting community may seem restrictive and, in some cases, prohibitive when bidding or engaging in public works projects. General contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and design professionals all need to be aware of this law's implications.

Snell & Wilmer partner Leon Mead invites you to join him for a Lunch & Learn presentation as he provides an overview of these recent laws and discusses their potential impact on the construction industry. If you are a general contractor, subcontractor or construction professional responsible for obtaining or managing public works projects in Nevada, you will not want to miss this seminar.
