EVENT ALERT – Los Angeles and Orange County – 2011 Litigators Forum

The 2011 Litigators Forum, hosted by the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles Litigation Section, will focus on unconscious biases encountered by women and minority litigators, the manifestation and impact of these biases and assumptions both inside and outside the courtroom, and solutions for addressing and eliminating them. The program will include two panel discussions.

The first panel, entitled Bias In the Courtroom, will discuss the implicit biases and assumptions faced by female and minority attorneys in the courtroom. Panelists include the Honorable Fumiko Wasserman, jury consultants Cynthia Cohen and Johanna Carrane, judicial educator Kimberly Papillon, and Moderator Victoria Pynchon. The second panel entitled Master Women Litigators will feature five accomplished female litigators, Bonnie Eskenazi, Shawn Chapman Holley, Ruth Kahn, Nina Marino and Jane Shay Wald, who will share their personal experiences of achieving professional success. This panel will be moderated by Snell & Wilmer partner M.C. Sungaila.
