Snell & Wilmer Attorneys Recognized for Pro Bono Work by the District of Arizona
Phoenix – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that attorneys Ed Hermes and Megan Carrasco were selected as recipients of the 2024 Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by the United States District Court, District of Arizona. Each year, attorneys are selected by the District of Arizona for their work in the district with pro se litigants. 2024 awardees were recently recognized at the District of Arizona Annual Conference luncheon on April 11, 2025.

Ed J. Hermes is a commercial litigator who is committed to serving as a trusted advisor to his clients and community. His practice focuses on complex commercial, tax, property, construction disputes, and disputes involving Federal Indian Law. Hermes is an active member of the community and involved in numerous local and education-based organizations, including serving as President of the Osborn School District Governing Board and co-chair of the City of Phoenix Vision Zero Street Transportation Committee.
Megan Carrasco helps clients navigate complex disputes in business, construction, and intellectual property. Her practice focuses on commercial litigation, construction disputes, intellectual property and patent litigation, as well as investigations, government enforcement, and white-collar defense. Carrasco is actively involved with several organizations including the State Bar of Arizona’s Council on Minorities and Women in the Law, the Committee on Access to Justice, the Arizona Women Lawyers Association, and the American Bar Association.
