Snell & Wilmer Client and Alumnus Mark Foster Nominated for the Orange County Business Journal’s 2024 General Counsel Awards

ORANGE COUNTY – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that client and alumnus, Mark Foster, has been nominated for the Orange County Business Journal’s 2024 General Counsel Awards. According to the publication, the program is designed to recognize the significant role in-house counsels play in the success of businesses within the Orange County community.

Foster, a former partner in the firm’s Orange County office, possesses a diverse background in both in-house and law firm environments, along with strong connections to the Southern California real estate and commercial finance sectors. In August 2022, he left Snell & Wilmer to take on the role of executive vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary at American Healthcare REIT, Inc. (NYSE: AHR), headquartered in Irvine, California.

Since his appointment, Foster has effectively managed a $772.8 million public offering, leading to AHR’s listing on the New York Stock Exchange in February 2024. This offering marked the largest for a healthcare REIT to date and was among the most significant real estate offering and listing event in the past two years.

As general counsel, Foster is an integral part of AHR’s senior executive team, overseeing all legal and corporate affairs related to the company’s extensive diversified healthcare real estate portfolio, and a company with an enterprise value over $5 billion. The portfolio focuses primarily on senior housing, skilled nursing facilities, outpatient medical buildings and other healthcare-related facilities. Its properties are located in the United States, the United Kingdom and the Isle of Man. He collaborates closely with the senior executive team to formulate and execute essential corporate strategies and initiatives.
