Snell & Wilmer Counsel Carla “CJ” Utter Appointed to Serve as Chair for the Phoenix IAPP KnowledgeNet Chapter
PHOENIX – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Counsel Carla “CJ” Utter has been appointed to serve as Chair for the Phoenix IAPP KnowledgeNet Chapter.
Established in 2000, the IAPP is a not-for-profit association dedicated to providing a home for privacy, AI governance and digital responsibility globally. IAPP provides members with tools, resources and training, and credentials.

With a robust background in technology and law, Utter helps clients navigate the complex landscape of cybersecurity, data protection, and privacy regulations. She also advises companies on all issues related to evaluating, strategizing, and implementing effective cybersecurity policies and procedures. Utter is skilled at handling complex commercial contracts, ensuring that these agreements not only comply with legal standards, but also effectively address privacy and security concerns. She also maintains relevant data security certifications including, (ISC)2 CISSP (2015), IAPP CIPT (2023), IAPP FIP (2023), IAPP CIPP/E (2019), and IAPP CIPP/US (2020).
