Snell & Wilmer Expands Footprint in San Diego and Reaffirms Commitment to the Region

SAN DIEGO – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce it has relocated its San Diego office to a new space at Kilroy Centre Del Mar. At 25,000 square feet, the new location more than doubles the space available and positions the growing team in the scenic Del Mar Heights neighborhood near the coastline.

The firm’s San Diego office opened in April 2020 under the leadership of current San Diego Managing Partner Steffi Gascón Hafen and other key attorneys. In 2024, the firm added 14 attorneys and 10 staff members, doubling the size of the team and bringing the total headcount of the office to 43 employees. The continued expansion of the firm’s office moves in lockstep with its commitment to serving the region.  

Attorneys in San Diego focus their practices on corporate, employment, intellectual property, private client services, real estate, commercial litigation, and tax services that support prominent industry sectors in the region. Beyond legal services, attorneys and staff in San Diego are engaged in a broad range of community, civic, and industry-related activities, dedicating their time and services to numerous nonprofit organizations.

The new office will occupy space on the fifth floor of a premier 127,775 square-foot Class A building at Kilroy Centre Del Mar. The office was thoughtfully designed to support collaboration, focus and well-being. It features ample office and conference space, an employee lounge and kitchen, a spacious and elegant boardroom, multiple quiet rooms, and a dedicated wellness room. Additionally, the building offers state-of-the-art amenities, including advanced security systems, a fitness center, and daily food truck rotation. Set against the stunning backdrop of canyon vistas, the building includes an atrium, balcony, and is conveniently located near a variety of dining, shopping, and business services.

Snell & Wilmer’s San Diego team moved into the new office at 3611 Valley Center Drive, Suite 500, San Diego, California on January 15. The firm’s former San Diego office was located at 12230 El Camino Real, Suite 300.
