Snell & Wilmer Introduces 28 New Associates Firmwide

PHOENIX – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to introduce 28 new associates who have joined the firm. The 2024 associate class comprises individuals from 16 different law schools.

The following are the firm’s new associates:

Gabriela Berigan focuses her practice in intellectual property. Berigan received her J.D. from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, and her B.S. in Chemistry, and B.A. in Spanish from the University of Arizona. Prior to joining the firm, Berigan served as a law clerk to the Honorable Andrew Jacobs of the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One.

Libby M. Brown focuses her practice in employee benefits. Brown received her J.D. from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, and her B.S. in Psychology from Arizona State University. Prior to joining the firm, Brown served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Justice William G. Montgomery of the Supreme Court of Arizona.

Marcus Collins focuses his practice in commercial litigation. Collins received his J.D. from the University of Denver, Sturm College of Law, and his B.A. in Public Relations and Advertising from St. Edward’s University. Prior to joining the firm, Collins served as a legal intern for the United States Department of Labor, Solicitor General’s Office.

Anelisa Gamiz Sandoval focuses her practice in commercial finance. Sandoval received her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, and her B.A. in Anthropology and Sociology from Knox College.

Tara Giery focuses her practice in private client services. Giery received her J.D. and LL.M. from the University of San Diego School of Law, and her B.A. in History and Philosophy from Marquette University.

Lilly M. Harris focuses her practice in special litigation and compliance. Harris received her J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, and her B.A. in Criminal Justice from California State University, Fullerton. Prior to joining the firm, Harris served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Clint Bolick of the Arizona Supreme Court.

Austin M. Heinisch focuses his practice in bankruptcy. Heinisch received his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law, and his B.S. in Finance from the University of Arkansas.

Bailey Hopkins focuses his practice in intellectual property. Hopkins received his J.D. from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, and his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. Prior to joining the firm, Hopkins served as a summer extern to the Honorable Gregory J. Gnepper of the Superior Court of Arizona, Maricopa County.

Kelsey Hutchinson focuses her practice in intellectual property. Hutchinson received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, and her B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

Kristen N. Iteen focuses her practice in special litigation & compliance. Iteen received her J.D. from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, and her B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to joining the firm, Iteen served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Judge Samuel A. Thumma of the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One.

Olivia LaCasto focuses her practice in corporate and securities. LaCasto received her J.D. from LMU Loyola Law School, and her B.A. in English from Loyola Marymount University.

Joseph Layzell focuses his practice in commercial litigation. Layzell received his J.D. from the University of Wyoming College of Law, and his M.S. in Sport Administration and B.S. in Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Northern Colorado. Prior to joining the firm, Layzell served as a law clerk to the Honorable United States District Judge Kelly H. Rankin of the District of Wyoming.

Xyzlo Lee focuses his practice in commercial litigation. Lee received his J.D. from Columbia Law School, and his B.A. in Political Science and English from Boston College. Prior to joining the firm, Lee served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Douglas W. Herndon of the Supreme Court of Nevada.

Cynthia F. McGillicuddy focuses her practice in commercial finance. Cynthia received her J.D. from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, and her B.S. in Political Science from Arizona State University.

Josh Miller focuses his practice in environmental and natural resources. Miller received his J.D. from the University of Idaho College of Law, and his B.S. in Management from the University of Utah, David Eccles School of Business.

Courtney Moore focuses her practice in commercial litigation. Moore received her J.D. from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, her M.A. in Political Science from the University of Memphis, and her B.A. in Political Science from Georgia State University.

Anthony M. Pimentel focuses his practice in labor and employment. Pimentel received his J.D. from the University of California, Irvine School of Law, and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to joining the firm, Pimentel served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Autumn Spaeth of the United States District Court, Central District of California.

Samuel K. Pope focuses his practice in commercial litigation. Pope received his J.D. from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, William S. Boyd School of Law, and his B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Prior to joining the firm, Pope served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Cristina Silva of the United States District Court, District of Nevada.

Sarah Richards focuses her practice in corporate and securities. Richards received her J.D. from Pepperdine, University Caruso School of Law, and her B.A. in English from the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to joining the firm, Richards served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Judge Alarcon of the Los Angeles Superior Court.  

Sukhmani K. Singh focuses her practice in environmental and natural resources. Singh received her J.D. from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, and her B.A. in Political Science and her B.A. in Sustainability from Arizona State University.

Zachary Smith focuses his practice in commercial litigation. Smith received his J.D. from Washburn University School of Law, and his B.A. in English from Princeton University. Prior to joining the firm, Smith served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Justice William G. Montgomery of the Arizona Supreme Court.

Mark P. Stern focuses his practice in corporate and securities. Stern received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, and his B.S. in International Politics from Georgetown University. Prior to joining the firm, Stern served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Kristen L. Mix of the United States District Court, District of Colorado.

Jenna Teeny focuses her practice in commercial finance. Teeny received her J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law, and her B.A. in History from Purdue University. Prior to joining the firm, Teeny served as a judicial extern to the United States District Court Judge Mary K. Dimke of the Eastern District of Washington.

Heather L. Udowitch focuses her practice in corporate and securities. Udowitch received her J.D. and Masters of Sports Law and Business from Arizona State University, Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, and her B.S. in Marketing from Arizona State University.

Sofia T. Urias focuses her practice in commercial finance. Urias received her J.D. from the University of Arizona, James E. Rogers College of Law, and her B.A. in Law from the University of Arizona.

Alexandra Wallin focuses her practice in labor and employment. Wallin received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, and her B.A. in Economics from Whitman College. Prior to joining the firm, Wallin served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable William Q. Hayes of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California.

Tyler Wills focuses his practice in labor and employment. Wills received his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law, and his B.A. in Ethics and Public Policy from the University of Iowa. Prior to joining the firm, Wills served as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Susan R. Bolton of the United States District Court, District of Arizona.

Kina Wong focuses her practice in commercial litigation. Wong received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, and her B.S. in Business Administration from Chapman University. Prior to joining the firm, Wong served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Andrew G. Schopler of the United States District Court, Southern District of California.
