Snell & Wilmer Partner Steffi Hafen Elected to San Diego County Regional Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors

SAN DIEGO – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that the managing partner of the firm’s San Diego office, Steffi Hafen, has been elected to serve on the board of directors for the San Diego County Regional Economic Development Corporation (EDC)

The San Diego Regional EDC is an independently-funded economic development organization that mobilizes business, government, and civic leaders around an inclusive economic development strategy in order to connect data to decision making, maximize regional prosperity, enhance global competitiveness, and position San Diego effectively for investment and talent. With and through investment from nearly 200 companies, public agencies, and private organizations, the San Diego Regional EDC provides direct services at no-cost to help companies grow jobs in San Diego and leads initiatives to enhance the region’s competitiveness.

EDC’s board is comprised of directors and trustees responsible for the strategic management of its nonprofit corporation. The board approves and oversees the implementation of organizational annual goals, which positively impact the economic vitality of the San Diego region.

Hafen is the managing partner of our San Diego office, and is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law, California Board of Legal Specialization. She is a co-leader of the firm’s Private Client Services practice group and a partner in the General Federal Tax practice group. Her practice is concentrated in tax, trust, and estate matters with emphasis in estate planning, trust and probate administration, and estate and gift taxation. Hafen currently serves on the Junior Achievement of San Diego County board of directors, and is a member of the North County Estate Planning Council; Probate Attorneys of San Diego; the Association for Corporate Growth; and the San Diego County and Orange County Bar Associations. She received her L.L.M in Taxation from Loyola Law School, her J.D. from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, and her B.A. from University of California, Santa Barbara.
