Snell & Wilmer Partner Steffi Hafen Listed as one of San Diego’s 500 Most Influential People by the San Diego Business Journal

SAN DIEGO – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that San Diego Office Managing Partner Steffi Hafen has been included in the San Diego Business Journal’s 2024 list of The 500 Most Influential People in San Diego. This list showcases the influential members of the San Diego business community who have shaped the region’s growth over the years.

Hafen is the managing partner of the firm’s San Diego office, and is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the California Board of Legal Specialization. She is a co-leader of the firm’s Private Client Services practice group and a partner in the General Federal Tax practice group. Her practice is concentrated in tax, trust, and estate law. Hafen employs advanced estate planning techniques, including grantor retained annuity trusts, family partnerships, limited liability companies, charitable remainder trusts, defective grantor trusts, insurance planning, public charities, and private foundations. She also advises clients regarding succession planning for closely held businesses. Hafen serves on the Board of Junior Achievement of San Diego County and the Board of the San Diego County Regional Economic Development Corporation (EDC). She is a member of the Lawyers’ Club; the Association for Corporate Growth; and the San Diego and the North County Estate Planning Council. Hafen received her L.L.M in Taxation from Loyola Law School, her J.D. from the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, and her B.A. from University of California, Santa Barbara.
