Snell & Wilmer Partners Christopher Bright and Deborah Gubernick Recognized as Top Intellectual Property Lawyers by the Daily Journal
ORANGE COUNTY – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that partners Christopher Bright and Deborah Gubernick have been recognized as “Top Intellectual Property Lawyers” by the Daily Journal. According to the publication, this award honors top performing intellectual property attorneys working in patent litigation, trademark and copyright.
Bright has more than 25 years of experience litigating patent cases across the United States, advising on global patent licensing negotiations, and conducting patent due diligence for mergers and acquisitions. With a background in physics, he brings a deep scientific understanding to complex patent disputes, trying numerous cases in U.S. federal district courts and before the International Trade Commission (ITC). Bright frequently represents clients in inter partes reviews before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and in appeals before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. His experience spans a variety of industries, including automotive, life sciences, and technology, covering areas such as consumer electronics, semiconductors, medical devices, and cloud computing. Bright earned his J.D. from the The George Washington University Law School and his B.S. from the University of California, San Diego.
Gubernick is a partner in the firm’s intellectual property and commercial litigation groups, where she helps clients protect and defend their brands and businesses in the U.S. and internationally. She has litigated cases in both state and federal courts and handled more than 220 matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Gubernick routinely advises clients on brand selection, clearance, and domestic and global IP protection. She has extensive experience with online infringement issues, domain name disputes, licensing and NIL agreements. Her litigation practice covers trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes, as well as false advertising, unfair competition, and contract-related claims. She provides IP diligence support on high-value transactions and advises clients on the management of global portfolios. Her experience spans various business sectors, including technology, food and beverage, apparel, hospitality, cosmetics, personal care, equipment, devices, machinery, and more. Gubernick earned her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and her B.A. from Brigham Young University.
