Snell & Wilmer to Host Re-Launch of Licensing Executives Society (LES) San Diego Chapter
SAN DIEGO – Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce the re-launch of the San Diego chapter of the Licensing Executives Society (LES) with a special event hosted at the firm’s newly relocated San Diego office on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The event, titled “Top 10 Court Decisions of the Year Affecting Licensing,” will feature a presentation by Russell Levine, Partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. Levine will discuss the most impactful court decisions from the past year and their implications for drafting and negotiating patent license agreements. This presentation has consistently drawn strong interest and engagement at the LES Annual Meeting, underscoring its relevance to licensing professionals. The event is free for both LES members and non-members and offers 1 hour of CLE credit. Click here to register.
The LES San Diego Chapter is co-chaired by Snell & Wilmer Partner Eli Mansour and Counsel Sarah Hibbard, who both bring extensive experience in technology and licensing matters. Licensing is a key strategy for many of San Diego’s technology-based companies, and as one of the world’s leading technology hubs, San Diego’s life sciences and high-tech clusters gather talent from industry, universities, research institutes, and service professions. The LES San Diego Chapter provides these individuals with highly informative educational opportunities addressing various aspects of licensing, along with networking events that foster collaboration. In line with the mission of LES, the chapter plans to hold monthly meetings featuring expert speakers on licensing-related issues relevant to all industries, along with one or two social events each year.
“We are thrilled to support the re-launch of the San Diego LES chapter and to provide a platform for professionals to connect and share knowledge,” said Mansour. “LES has long been a leader in advancing the licensing profession, and this event underscores our commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration in the San Diego community.”
