Snell & Wilmer Attorneys and Paralegal Recognized by Volunteer Lawyers Program

Phoenix, AZ – Snell & Wilmer attorney David Wilhelmsen and paralegal Ana Soto were recognized by the Volunteer Lawyers Program (VPL) for their pro bono work. The VLP is a joint venture of Community Legal Services and the Maricopa County Bar Association. In 2022, the VLP provided over $2 million in benefits through their pro bono work.

David Wilhelmsen was recognized as the "Liaison of the Year". He is an associate who practices commercial finance and real estate law. Wilhelmsen directs Snell & Wilmer’s Volunteer Lawyer’s Program, where he manages over 200 participating attorneys each year. Furthermore, as a bilingual attorney, Wilhelmsen has been instrumental in assisting Spanish-speaking families who need legal services.

Ana Soto was awarded "Interpreter of the Year". Soto has generously donated her time and talent by serving as an interpreter for Spanish-speaking clients, ensuring that everyone is able to seek legal resources regardless of language skills or fluency.
