Blakeley Griffith’s practice is concentrated in bankruptcy and commercial litigation. She focuses her representation on bankruptcy, reorganization, creditor’s rights, and federal and state court commercial and business litigation.
Blakeley’s focus in bankruptcy includes experience in reorganization, creditor’s rights, foreclosure, receivership, and workout law. Blakeley represents clients in all forms of bankruptcy matters, including stay relief, contested confirmation and adversary actions. Additionally, she often represents secured creditors as they recover their real and personal property collateral and seek repayment from borrowers and guarantors.
Blakeley also has significant experience representing financial institutions in disputes involving federal and state consumer protection statutes, common law contract and tort claims, and lender liability with respect to mortgage lending, foreclosures, and various other lending and credit issues. She also assists clients in defending against claims in bankruptcy courts for automatic stay and discharge injunction violations, as well as circumstances involving crisis management and business-threatening conflict in bankruptcy proceedings.
