With over 20 years of international experience, Dominic’s practice focuses on investment management and fund formation. He has significant experience advising real estate, investment adviser, and family office clients on the formation and regulation of hedge funds, real estate funds, and private equity funds. He also represents clients on legal, regulatory structuring, transactional, and compliance matters associated with their investment operations. In addition, Dominic works with investors on structuring and negotiating joint ventures, real estate partnerships, and investments into private funds.
Dominic was initially drawn to the intellectual rigor of practicing law. Early in his career, he began practicing in the financial services sector in the UK, which set the trajectory for his future practice. Over the years, he has worked extensively with investment managers across a range of asset classes and developed a nuanced understanding of the financial industry. His experience working in-house has given him unique insights into what clients seek from their legal advisors and how to foster effective relationships between law firms and in-house counsel.
Dominic is passionate about helping clients solve complex problems, getting to know their businesses intimately, and crafting tailored solutions. His approach is not just about legal advice; it’s about understanding the client’s business inside and out and applying the law in a way that adds real value. He thrives on being a trusted advisor and enjoys building long-lasting relationships where he becomes an integral part of the client’s team.
