Biography

Jason Yu is a labor and employment and commercial litigation partner in the Los Angeles office. His practice focuses on a broad spectrum of commercial litigation, employment liability, intellectual property, and transactional work. He has extensive experience in all phases of litigation, including trials, and has litigated frequently in both state and federal courts. Jason has significant experience in cases involving debt collection, labor and employment law matters and trade secret misappropriation. Jason’s clients are individuals and corporations, including major manufacturers, banking and financial institutions, transportation and shipping companies, import and export logistics companies, clothing manufacturers and retail clothing businesses, professional partnerships, and technology companies.

Jason helps corporate and individual clients resolve complex business disputes as quickly and efficiently as possible. He is skilled in the development of cost-effective litigation strategies, utilizing targeted pre-trial discovery and, when appropriate, law and motion and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Jason also has an extensive track record for recovering financial debts on behalf of corporations.

As an employment and labor litigator, Jason offers comprehensive advice relating to labor and employment law matters. He counsels clients regarding state and federal regulations affecting employers, including legislation regarding hiring practices, benefits and age and race discrimination as well as harassment retaliation discrimination. Recognized as a thought leader in his field, Jason is a frequent guest speaker at several organizations and local businesses, giving seminars on labor and employment law issues.

Over the last nearly 20 years, Jason has utilized both sides of his practice to position himself as a go-to resource for Asian businesses doing business in the United States. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and having represented several U.S.-based subsidiaries headquartered all over Asia, Jason is well-versed in helping foreign clients navigate through complex employment and corporate issues in the U.S.
