Biography

Jeff Martin’s practice is concentrated around commercial finance. After graduating from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, he joined National City Bank (now PNC Bank) and learned the ins and outs of small business lending while going to law school at night. In his last year of law school, Jeff left National City for a law clerk position at then Columbus-based Banc One Corporation (now JPMorgan Chase). After graduating from law school, Jeff spent two years as an associate in the banking law group of a 250+ attorney firm before joining a client as its Director of Credit Administration and then the Division Counsel of its Asset-Based Lending and Factoring Group. Jeff returned to private practice over ten years ago and has since represented commercial lenders in the closing of over 200 secured and unsecured loans with over $500,000,000 in commitments.

Jeff advises commercial lenders on loan documentation and remediation with a focus on construction lending, affordable housing finance, asset-based lending, and factoring.
