Biography

Jeff Porter is a real estate finance and commercial finance attorney with a practice representing lenders, borrowers, developers and investors in a broad range of commercial transactions.

Jeff has extensive real estate finance experience representing banks and other lenders in connection with the origination of construction, bridge, permanent, and mezzanine loans. Such loans include financing for hotels, office and industrial properties, retail projects, multi-family projects, condominium and townhome projects, land acquisition and development, and single-family home construction. He has also represented creditors and note purchasers in enforcing their security interests and other rights and remedies, and in workout negotiations, forbearances and collection matters involving real estate and operating companies.

Jeff’s commercial finance experience includes acquisition financing and asset-based loans for operating companies in the agricultural, aviation, aerospace, furniture, packaging, mining, semi-conductor production, and healthcare industries, and includes financing secured by special forms of collateral, such as jet engines, intellectual property, and healthcare receivables.
