Biography

Mandy Shavinsky handles a wide array of complex real estate matters with an emphasis on commercial finance, loan workouts, real estate transactions and real estate development. She has provided advice to national, regional, and local homebuilders and developers in connection with mixed-use projects and high-rise resort, condominium and condominium hotel developments. Mandy has been extensively involved with both buyers and sellers in the purchase and disposition of hotels, casinos, retail developments and undeveloped land. In the current economic climate, clients turn to Mandy for her expertise in all matters pertaining to distressed real estate developments, including high-rise condominium projects.

  • Extensive involvement with development of CityCenter, an unparalleled master-planned mixed-use project spearheaded by casino giant MGM Mirage
  • Advised national bank on foreclosure issues and legal issues associated with the transition of sales and operation of a $180,000,000 high-rise condominium project
  • Represented purchaser in $500,000,000 acquisition of undeveloped casino site and subsequent plans for high-end, mixed-use development

Legislation

  • Instrumental in drafting Assembly Bill 431, now Chapter 116B of the Nevada Revised Statutes, which addresses the creation, structure and operation of condominium hotels; the first legislation of its kind in the United States
