Michael A. Angel focuses his practice in business and real estate litigation, trust and estates litigation, and corporate law and transactions. He has significant jury trial experience before the State and Federal Courts and has arbitrated major cases before the American Arbitration Association.
Michael has represented financial institutions in complex civil litigation matters regarding real and personal property secured transactions, provisional remedies of injunctions, receiverships, and attachments, real estate transactions and litigation, and general corporate matters. He has also negotiated restructuring problem loans and corporate debt representing both the lenders and government entities.
Michael’s empathy and experience in trust and estates litigation allows him to navigate the delicate nature of inter-family dynamics. His experience includes handling conservatorships of the person and estate of high net worth individuals; guardianships of family members; litigation amongst disgruntled beneficiaries; and representing trustees of family trusts.
Michael is also knowledgeable in the corporate arena. He has formed corporations and limited liability companies, performed corporate housekeeping duties, reviewed numerous contracts and leases, analyzed the feasibility and advised on the desirability of either pursuing or defending business torts such as unfair and deceptive business practices, unfair competition, and compliance with governmental requirements to operate the particular business or company.
