Biography

Troy Aramburu’s practice is concentrated in bankruptcy and commercial litigation. He regularly represents secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, committees, receivers, and other fiduciaries in a variety of contested actions before bankruptcy, federal, and state courts. Troy has also represented members, partners, and shareholders in disputes with other owners or the company in bankruptcy and other courts. He also regularly seeks creative solutions to his clients’ problems through reorganizations and workouts.

  • Represented court-appointed receiver in the wind-up and liquidation of manufacturing company
  • Defended transferor of assets in multimillion dollar breach-of-contract action culminating in week-long jury trial in federal court
  • Represented official committee of unsecured creditors in jointly administered Chapter 11 cases involving real estate holding companies
  • Represented official committee of unsecured creditors in the individual Chapter 11 case of prominent Utah real estate developer
  • Defended lender in defeating claims in both bankruptcy and federal court involving more than $7 million in alleged fraudulent transfers
  • General bankruptcy counsel for solar power company in its Chapter 11 case
  • General bankruptcy counsel for oil exploration company in its Chapter 11 case
  • Represented lender in nonjudicial foreclosure of multimillion dollar assets and subsequent bench trial involving deficiency action against guarantors
  • Prosecuted and defended numerous preference and fraudulent transfer cases in bankruptcy courts in Utah and Delaware
  • Represented SEC-appointed receiver in several litigation matters
  • Represented court-appointed receiver in collection of distressed assets
